Cones and rope

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 419665.

The residents of this bungalow have placed cones on the road and it’s interfering with people parking when picking there kids up from school as they just not blocking the drop kerb they are also take some of the space ether side of the drop kerb I am only reporting as I know you can’t put cones outside your house on a public road

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. We have visited the location and it looked as though someone was clearing vegetation away. However, yes you are right, nobody has the right to reserve Public Highway. On this occasion our Highways Officer didn't see cones/barriers out on the highway and unfortunately didn't manage to speak with the residents. We can only ask them not to do this, especially if this is going to be an on-going problem. We have no powers to remove. We hope this might help. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • Hello and thank you for your reply I did update the report with the times the cones are normally out I am outside school waiting to pick the kids up and as you can see from my new photo they are here but thank you again
