Last November I contacted you about the flooding in the entrance to our driveway that happens every time it rains, the water is running off the road at the end of the curbing where it meets the grass verge as explained previously on 2 occasions.
It was first reported verbally 2 years ago but as yet nothing has happened, previously I have had to use a submersible pump to try and get rid of it, we have put a grid in at the end of our drive but when vehicles come past our gate the grid cannot cope so the drive gets flooded. Our drive is suffering and in the long term is getting damaged, our car brakes are being affected and our shoes by having to walk through it to get to the road.
Could you please tell me when you will have a look at it and what you will do to solve the issue.
Please see attached image of the problem that was taken in February and is the same now.

It is now August 2022 (over 2 years)and still nothing has been done or even looked at, there is even more water running off the road causing what is now getting to be a lake. Have noticed Highways have repaired the odd small hole at the side of the road further down but nothing of any size. We also note that a bungalow in the village had a smaller problem than we have and it was all re-curbed within a few weeks. Our problem needs sorting out.

Could you please supply a date asap, the water is getting worse. As there is so much water on the roadside and no curb in places, where there is a curb it is level with the road surface so it all comes into our gate, the drain cannot take it all and keeps getting blocked. The curb needs raising and running into the grass verge, at the moment there is a gap between the verge and what curb there is which allows even more water in. Our drive and paths are now getting damaged with all the water coming in so repairs are needed urgently. The entrance was marked out for repair but they seem to have washed off now.

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

It is now over 2 1/2 years since this was first reported and still nothing done, the flooding is getting worse, my drive is getting more damaged, how much longer until something is actually done. In September 2022 you investigated and the work was planned and issued to one of your gangs and for some reason it was handed to your highways officer to assess again in November, nothing been done. Are you going to pay for the damage to my paths, drive and entrance as you are taking so long. If I do not hear anything within the next week then I will elevate to Head of Highways and Director.

How many times do you need to look at something for it to be sorted out, It was investigated in September 2022 and supposedly given to a gang to repair, nothing done. November 2022 supposedly looked at issue and passed to Highways officer for the team to assess, nothing done. January 2023 supposedly looked at issue and passed to Highways officer for the team to assess, will anything be done this time and how many times does it need assessing before something actually gats done ??

Again it has been looked at twice more January 2023 and again a few months ago, in January it was passed to your teams to access/repair. Since this it has been looked at for the fourth time and now you are saying that you are not taking any immediate action but planning to maybe do something, how many times do you have to look before you actually do something about it, it has been 3 years now. I notice that in Sudbrooke & Nettleham over the past few weeks/months you have managed to replace the paths and all driveways so why can't you do just one ?
