Overgrown Trees
Reported via Android in the Overgrown tree/hedges category by Cllr David Wilkinson at 10:32, Tue 22 March 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 420802.
This has been reported several times and even with a visit from LCC officers and Richard Davies no ac6has been taken. As a District Councillorand chairman of the PC we have repeatedly asked for these trees to be cut. We have information LCC that this is the main School route and that at some point there will be an accident. Well now we have one, fortunately no o e on the bus was injured but quite shook up. Are we to wait until serious Injuries occur before LCC actually do something.

The trees in question are privately owned trees. We are working to determine the owners. This could take some time. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: not the council's responsibility

This is a serious issue, school busses have use the centre of the road to miss the trees, some of these are less than a metre from the carriage way, but this is irrelevant ,LCC has a duty to keep the highway clear and have the statutory powers. It is just an excuse saying the trees are on private land, it is LCC who has the responsibility to ensure they are removed. Are you going to wait until a child or children are seriously injured before you do anything.
