Bollard not illuminated
Reported via desktop in the Bollards (lit) category anonymously at 18:19, Sat 26 March 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 421134.
This bollard stopped working when a car demolished the lamp post adjacent to it on 18th December 2021. I assumed that it would be restored to operation when the lamp post was reinstated. It seems however that there is no intention of reinstating the lamp post as the footpath paving has now been restored but no lamp post is present. So it's now not only darker as there is no lamp post, but the central reservation is also less visible as the bollard supply was not restored either. And I presume that the cast iron bollards that stop vehicles cutting the corner outside the cafe have gone forever too? It’s a shame that there is evidently no policy of restoring the town centre street scene in a timely manner (or at all) following RTC incidents such as this.
