Over grown tree
Reported via mobile in the Overgrown tree/hedges category anonymously at 20:09, Tue 5 April 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 421842.
The weeping willow tree is too over grown. The slightest wind leaves debris all over the path and in gardens near by. I've lost count the times I've tripped over debris from it. During the high winds I few months ago I was too frightened to actually walk anywhere near it. You could see branches dropping off it! I walked the long way, to the top of Rawlinson and down Nettleton road to work. It's only a matter if time before there is a serious injury caused from it. I'm having to sweep my garden path at least twice a week. Due to branches/twigs blowing over into the garden. Causing us to trip over, especially if arriving home late at night. I worry about visitors coming to our house, incase they trip over branches. It's ridiculous! It's been like this for years now. Then I see that smaller trees on Kelsway gave been sorted. Does it take someone to actually be injured before you'll do anything about it?

This tree is well overdue for a complete Pollarding rather than pruning. The photographs show the state of the branches which will be further in danger of splitting and falling when they get the full weight of foliage on it in a couple of weeks. It has been reported before and inspected but dismissed as being fine. On the next inspection please send someone who knows about trees such as a professional tree surgeon and not someone out of an office.
