Continuing run of potholes between doctors surgery and Wilsford Lane

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 421936.

This run of potholes is causing my house to physically shake when HGV vehicles pass over them. Due to residents of Ermine Street having to park both sides of the road all vehicles are forced to basically use the same bit of road travelling in both directions which doubles the shaking in my house which is bad enough to actually wake me. This will increase when construction begins on the new estate off Wilsford Lane.

  • We acknowledge your concerns and accept that the highway has deteriorated in condition. We have assessed the fault in accordance with our Highways Infrastructure Asset Management Plan and it does not require urgent action. If the fault deteriorates significantly please report this again to us. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • The vibration of my property is getting worse as the road continues to deteriorate. This is not going to get any better on its own! You accept in your own words that ‘the highway has deteriorated in condition’. When are you going to repair said highway? Strange that the road leading to the neighbouring village Sudbrook was closed and completely re surfaced and then about 6 weeks later closed again whilst highways then ‘stone chipped’ the brand new tarmac…. Is it just a coincidence that said road happens to lead to the village where the local Tory MP lives???
