Maltby straight is now a death trap

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 421986.

This has been reported so many times, please repair the Maltby straight in and out of Mablethorpe before someone is killed. Huge potholes , terrible road subsidence, been eroding for years. Please sort this out.

  • Two deep pot holes right where the road has subsided now causing traffic to swerve on to the opposite side of the carriageway needs urgent repair.

  • Looks like this has been reported many times but still hasn't been repaired. From the crossroads heading away from Mablethorpe you have to choose whether to drive in the ruts where the road is eroding into the grass verge or drive with 2 wheels over the centre white line. Either option is highly dangerous.

  • I would like to add my complaint about Alford Road. It is like being on a switchback and is dangerous when you are trying to avoid the eroded road and also oncoming traffic.

  • This road is getting more and more dangerous, in order to safeguard your vehicle you have to drive on the opposite side of the road, or dangerously swerve about the road.…….not ideal on a busy main road. As previously reported this appalling road surface has been reported many time ……but just ignored every time. What are you waiting for…..a fatality?

  • I think a highways inspector needs to drive along this road from Mablethorpe towards Maltby le Marsh at the speed limit of 60mph and then tell us it doesn't need repairing. It is impossible to remain on your own side of the road without being bounced all over and risk damaging your vehicle. Please get this sorted out before it causes an accident and at worst a fatality.
