Historically the kerb has been damaged as clearly seen in the pictures? I fail to believe that. The drain and kerb are sharp and could easily burst a vehicle tyre should two a wider vehicle drive the road. I note the footway in south elkington is currently being worked on by cf construction, which was in no way as bad as this kerb.
