Long stretch of defects causing noise
Reported via mobile in the Pothole on road/cycleway category by Glen Fryer at 15:22, Mon 25 April 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 423151.
Hello…this stretch of defects in the road are causing three loud bangs in orange yuck succession when lorries pass over them heading South. They are waking our children at night and shaking the house so much a picture fell off the wall in the middle of the night. Please could you help with this. Please call to discuss if necessary but please don’t leave it. Glen 07739312637

Thank you for your update but it has been a while and this is getting really bad. It’s so bad I’m sure it must be causing damage to the house. Our children were woken three times in the middle of the night and this morning they are asking us to do something about it because they are so tired. Please help.

I can verify the experience, I to live close to this stretch of road, large lorries pass and the whole house shakes, I have several cracks appearing in my walls and ceiling, it is especially noisy and shaking during the night has large laden lorries pass by in both directions.

Has anything been done or investigated here? I have just submitted another case to report this issue. My house is trembling I can hear the radiators vibrating as lorries pass. There are cracks appearing all over my house!

Hello, not sure who this is but thank you for making a further report (we are at no 7 if you’d like to chat). I’m not hopeful although I have received an update to say it’s scheduled for work but no date. However, I submitted a report for the opposite side to this one and they have just put a very small patch in. So now the lorries hit the new patch and bang down on the old tarmac causing just as much vibration. It’s so frustrating. I’m just hoping they don’t do the same to this line of defects. It’s getting so bad now, the house is shaking constantly as lorries hit all the defects and repairs.
