Overgrown trees & soil on road

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 423878.

The area along St Thomass Road near the Rugby Club field is overgrown the weeds and soil have encroached onto the road and have nearly covered the drains. The whole area is from Welland Road to Cygnet Court . Traffic from the London Road Area has to go onto the opposite side of the road to avoid the trees and bushes. Can you please arrange for the whole area to be cleared including the road as recent roadworks only managed to get within 1 ft of the drains and didn't clear anything. This problem has been going on for ages but the trees and bushes are obviously growing larger and need to be removed to avoid further problems.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. We have inspected the area and the overgrown vegetation does not pose a significant safety issue however, a job has been raised to cut this back. As it is currently nesting season and an offence to disturb any nesting birds, we will carry out the required works after the nesting season. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • The trees and bushes are now even bigger when do you expect to carry out works to make the road safer for all traffic?

    Please note the bushes are so far from the fencing they will scratch cars if you pass them as they are so far into the road.
