Flooding on the footpath and drive
Reported via desktop in the Standing water covering less than half the road category anonymously at 20:18, Wednesday 11 May 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 424213.
I have reported flooding on the pavement and across the drive of no 20 Pottergate Road 8 times since May last year. The pavement is damaged and during heavy rain the water runs down the channels and accumulates on our drive. Today it extended the whole width of our drive and across the pavements. We and any other pedestrians would have to step onto the road to avoid getting wet feet.

Thank you for sending an officer to investigate our flooded pavement problem. We are hoping a solution can be found as as well as as being a public nuisance it is spoiling our drive as when the rain stops and the flood eventually drains our drive remains soiled with the debris. The pavement and drive have been flooded again today. The puddle has remained for most of the day.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. Looking through previous images on streetview the previous driveway didn't have the same low point below the level of the footway as the current driveway does. This low point will draw water from the footway as it is at a lower level and the current soak away installed on the driveway appears to be inadequate. Having checked the upstand on the dropped kerb it appears to be consistent with other driveways along this carriageway who are not reporting the same issues. The gullys have also been checked to ensure that they are not blocked and all looks clear at present. Thank you for reporting this matter.
