Overgrown trees causing visibility problems at Pelican Crossing
Reported via desktop in the Tree blocking a street light category anonymously at 16:02, Friday 13 May 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 424351.
Two days ago there was an accident on the Lincoln Road A607 at the pelican crossing before Manthorpe involving a Post Office Lorry travelling towards Grantham and a Mobility Scooter crossing the road. The Post Office Van demolished the Traffic Signal in an attempt to avoid a collision with the Mobility Scooter. The trees on the left-hand side of the road obscure sight of the Crossing Signals to vehicles traveling towards Grantham and this may have been in part responsible for the accident. They need to be trimmed back to allow motorists and pedestrians etc to have proper sight along this busy road.
