This junction at Mill Drove North & Cowbit Road junction has been shut off, barriered off for weeks due to subsidence it's disgraceful that it has not been remedied my husband is a taxi driver & uses this road on a regular basis for access to the A16 very poor signage with a few cones on the A16 saying it is closed. Just get it done!

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because there is adequate signage around for this road to inform drivers that the road is closed. This road is closed a while longer due to ongoing issues with traffic using this road as a rat run. We shall continue to monitor. Thank you for reporting this matter.

I disagree, roads are used all the time as rat runs it does not give you the right to close it off for an indefinite period of time. I live in Sutton Bridge and there are plenty of rat runs at the moment with the Crosskeys Bridge works maybe you should close those off too!

I asked my wife to request why this road has not been repaired and re-opened and i find your reply most unsatisfactory. To say this is a rat run what do you class as a rat run. Roads are built to be used by and for taxpayers. You have resurfaced/white lined the A16 with this junction to what apparent reason. This road has a 7.5T weight limit so is only used by light traffic that also alleviates more congestion on the A16. I would like to know when work is starting to put this road back into operation for the good use of all as it has done for many years.

Whilst we appreciate your comments and concerns, this road is a local road and never intended to alleviate congestion on the A16. We do have repairs planned and these will be carried out when resources and priorities of other works permit. Unfortunately although it has a weight limit it is also ignored on a regular basis. Thank you for reporting this matter.
