Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 17:39, Tuesday 31 May 2022

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 425335.

REPORTED PREVIOUSLY AND APPARENTLY FIXED … ITS NOT! PLEASE SEE PHOTO TAKEN 31-5-22 The top of the private lane on Lincoln road floods every time it rains and makes it difficult to cross over this private lane/road. Causing pedestrians to walk on the main road (B1188) which is very dangerous, especially with child or a pushchair. The main road is a very busy road!!

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. Our contractor did visit the location on the 10th May 2022 and cleansed the roadside gully alongside its piped outfall connection to the highway drainage system on D'aincourt Park. The manhole connecting the two systems was also fully emptied at the time. However, although there are no reports of flooding on D'aincourt Park itself, further investigation of that soakaway system will be carried out as and when resource permits although we are unable to provide timescales for these works at this time. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • Thank you for the update, however, its not D'aincourt Park that the issue was reported for. Its the lane that runs parallel to it. The issue is with the drain at the top of the private lane at the drop curb for the pathway crossing over the lane. As I said previously it makes it very dangerous for pedestrians crossing this lane and they are forced to walk onto the main road (B1188) when it floods causing pedestrians to walk in the line of busy and direct traffic. Even more dangerous with pushchairs, wheelchairs and small children trying to cross to avoid the flooded water. I hope this is a priority before there is an accident!

  • P.s. it also floods at the corner with Park View Avenue, so the blockage is that side and not with D'aincourt Park.
