Grass verge adjacent to Ringwood (Orchard Road)
Reported via desktop in the Weeds on the highway category by William Roberts at 16:34, Thu 9 June 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 425880.
Weeds growing on verge of Orchard Road on the East side for approx one third of the length of the road from south to north. The weeds consist of nettles, briers and various other assorted weeds overhanging the carriageway. the weeds overhang to such an extent that along with the potholes (see other details) it is impossible to drive even a small average vehicle along the carriageway without having the weeds and briers scrape along the side of the car. I have also made a complaint to my Local Parish Council on a number of occasions but so far they have not made any attempt to meet to discuss the problem. Therefore as it is ultimately a Highways problem and if nothing is done to clear the obstruction and keep the road open, there is going to be at some stage damage caused to someone's vehicle and a claim made for compensation. Could someone please look to this problem ASAP and ensure the weeds are kept cutback in future. After all, the residents of Orchard Road pay the same council tax for Highway maintenance as everyone else in Lincolnshire.
