Pedestrian Crossing at Northgate Needed
Reported via mobile in the Road Markings category by Philip Burman at 13:05, Sat 2 July 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 427125.
Please could we have a Pedestrian Crossing at Northgate, near to entrance to Co-op.
Northgate is very busy with cars and cars parking up at Northgate and it is very difficult for visitors to Louth having parked at Co-op Northgate and Kiln Lane Car Park to cross over to reach the Town Centre.
You don't know what cars driving through Northgate are doing, and they pull up and reverse to park into spaces at Northgate, when pedestrians are trying to cross over, blocking the pedestrians route when crossing over the road and making it extremely dangerous.
It is very dangerous for visitors who are trying to reach the Town Centre.

The pedestrian crossing you are requesting is what is known as a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO). In order to request a new Traffic Regulation Order you should speak with your Parish/Town council in the first instance. If the Parish/Town council support your request they can then contact their County Councillor who will put forward the request. Thank you for reporting this matter.
