LN1 3EZ . No 61

Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 17:52, Tue 16 August 2022

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 429627.

As I have reported many many times. The first rainfall and floods. There is insufficient drainage in Rasen Lane. This problem happens every time even moderate rain falls. The single drain inlet is woefully undersized for the volume of water from the whole of upper Rasen Lane that gatherers outside my house. It is only a question of time before water penetrates my property. When rain falls all the fines from the road surface and litter are washed to this point. The inlet is full to the brim with said debris. It is now taking a longer period of time for the massive lake to eventually drain away. There needs to be more inlets in the gutter and the inlet outside no 61 needs clearing urgently. PLEASE.

  • This problem was highlighted in August last year. It was logged as actioned- in progress. Nothing has been done at all. Not even clearing out the silt from the drain and/ or its neighbours. Can you give me an idea when this work may be carried out. Before the inevitable floods return.
