These 2 drains are always blocked every time we get a down pour i am flooded cant get to my car i am disabled a very helpful man cam out last August the lorry came but they still dont take the water away it needs digging up and sorting out i dont want to go down the legal route i just want the problem sorted out Steve Janney 01522 874589 07799 706272

Please be aware that Lincolnshire County Council is dealing with a significant number of flooding enquiries at this time which can only be investigated based on actual severity and your enquiry will be looked at further as and when priorities and resource permit. Should you feel your property is at risk your first action should be to contact the emergency services who will assess the situation and act accordingly. Please note that the level of rainfall recorded during recent flooding events in the area was noted as significant and whilst further investigation of this highway drainage system near its outfall with High Street is being considered it is likely that the contributory cause of flooding here is related to the overall capacity of the highway drainage system being exceeded. Thank you for reporting this matter.

    The 2 drains are completely blocked with rubble and soil had drain rods in but they are solid so that is the reason we keep getting flooded can you please send someone out to have a look and see for yourselves if there blocked the water cant get away cadnet are digging up putting Gas Main in they may only want jetting but the definatly need unblocking Mr S Janney no 11 New Crescent and miss Beryl Jackson no 9 as we cant get to our cars when flooded 07799 706272

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.
