Excess rainfall causes a significant pool of water to form outside 37 Heathfield Avenue and adjacent properties.
Reported via mobile in the Standing water covering more than half the road category anonymously at 15:19, Wed 17 August 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 429766.
The water runs down the street from 2 sides and we are located in the dip that this causes. Following the end of any excessive rainfall, the water remains for several hours. Vehicles passing through cause a bough wave which clearly runs into properties on the opposite side of the street.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. A detailed investigation of the highway surface water drainage system already carried out across the whole estate showed that the issue is related to poor ground soakage and insufficient storage within the existing drainage system. The flooding of the highway whilst regrettable can only be mitigated by significant investment in drainage improvements across the whole estate and whilst there are no reports indicating flooding of internal property living space it is unlikely that the issues described will be resolved in the near future. Thank you for reporting this matter.
