From the top of Birds Drove A152 to 1st bend after D.E.Brand and sons Site

Reported via desktop in the Standing water covering more than half the road category anonymously at 11:11, Thu 18 August 2022

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 429842.

Whenever there is heavy rainfall the road floods all in front of D.E.Brand yard, medway house and The bungalow on Birds Drove. The catchpit drains are all clear but the main pipe drains both sides of Birds Drove are holding up the water from flowing to the main drain at the top of Birds drove. The outlet into the drain at the top of Birds Drove is clear as D.E.Brands ensures this is kept clear as it borders our field. I believe the pipe blockages are on the southside in front of D.E.Brands visitor car parking and outside Brandsfield bungalow. And on the North side opposite Medway house. The catchpit drains overflow but after these points flow upto the main outlet. This has been happening for the last 3 years but is progressively getting worse and the waters taking longer to subside. This last heavy rain caused the water, that would normally go into the roadside drains , to backup in D.E.Brand buildings and overflow through the valley gutters into the buildings, causing property damage. Im my opinion the drains need jetting and checking for collapsed drains as there is HGV regualarly using the road.
