Road closed signs

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 431066.

Numerous signs saying road is closed. No information on where or diversion route. In actual fact the road was not closed at time of travel - 5/9/22 evening.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because signage here has most likely been put up due to patching works which are scheduled in the near future. Once the work is complete the signs will be removed. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • So you are saying that it’s okay to mislead road users with incorrect road signs because LCC or your contractors can’t be bothered to take them down and put them back up again prior to doing work?
