33 Ryland Rd Welton

Reported via desktop in the Manhole/drain cover on pavement/verge category anonymously at 08:47, Sat 10 September 2022

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 431378.

A broken/damaged manhole cover has been covers by a protective sheet. 2 traffic cones are placed either side to warn pedestrians of this hazard. However these cones keep being moved leaving a substantial hazard at night - particularly as the street lights go off late at night. This has been like this for 2 months.

  • The cones are still here and keep being knocked over. Really not safe. Perhaps you could remind someone.

  • This seems to be an ongoing problem as it’s now open wide again with no cover. It’s on the main verge walkway too and from school. It’s dangerous for school children not watching where they are going or any one else who goes onto the verge to let mums with pushchairs past. Let alone anyone walking home in the dark. Please can some one come and Text have a look and an Assess the danger.
