Broken Manhole cover in footpath
Reported via desktop in the Manhole/drain cover on pavement/verge category by John Mosedale at 12:14, Mon 12 September 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 431483.
The manhole cover is metal and is heavily corroded to the point that there is hole in it and the metal so thin that someone could put there foot through it and cause them a serious injury. This has been reported in the last month but was dismissed as not belonging to highways. Anglian Water have been out and confirmed that it is not there's. We will be discussing this at the next Parish Council meeting where a complaint will be raised. Councillor John Mosedale Chairman Aubourn and Haddington Parish Council.

The cover plate is still there and no sign of a date when a permanent repair will be made. Could you provide an update please.

Please advise when this is going to be fixed. You were updated in October to say that all that had happened was that it had been covered by a yellow cover as shown in your own photos taken 12,09.22? When will the repair be completed?

I passed this again this morning 27th January 2023 and it is still not fixed. Are you even aware that this has not been completed. How long does it take to effect a permanent repair to this? A response with a date will be very useful. Next Parish Council meeting is 13th February 2023 and it would be nice to convey that a date has been agreed to fix this long outstanding repair.
