Investigating
15, Foxby Lane, Gainsborough DN211PP
Reported via mobile in the Collapsed verge category anonymously at 16:42, Thu 22 September 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 432127.
Recently a number of my neighbours have had their exits onto Foxby Lane resurfaced. My question is - when is mine going to be done? I’ve recently spent thousands of pounds having a resin driveway completed. I am constantly getting debris from the disintegrating path being brought onto my driveway. That said the worst thing is when it rains, as a large puddle forms, instead of going down the nearby drain, this also makes a mess on my new driveway, as I pull up the drive. In my opinion there is an issue with the flow of water. I look forward to hearing from you. Kind Regards
Nigel Brook

The first 2 photos show how a pool appears at the bottom of my drive exit onto Foxby Lane, every time it rains, even for a short period. It breaches the drop curb, as the flow to the drain isn’t correct. It is much worse when heavy downpours happen. The 3rd photo shows how the pool appears 24hrs after having had no further rain. Looking up & down the lane, no other houses have this issue. I therefore strongly request that this is investigated further & rectified. I’ve put up with this problem for years, as it progressively gets worse & hoped that our poor condition paths, plus my issues, would be rectified as many paths in Gainsborough have had planned resurfacing work done recently. We’ve lived in this house for 35 years & our paths have never been resurfaced, other than a thin top layer many years ago. The tarmac is totally degraded & crumbling with many cracks along its length.

Still waiting for a response to my update on 7th October. As you can see from the photo attached (taken today), yet again the rain has breached the drop curb. Water is not going down the drain to the left, as it is too high for the water to flow into it. I would appreciate a response of some sort. “No further action” is far from a satisfactory conclusion.
