Large cracks in road surface

A large part of the road surface has cracked leaving a really uneven surface to drive on. The road surface has stared to sink and it is getting to be undriveable, especially at speed. This road has been bad for years but this recent crack appeared approximately 1 month ago and looks to have recently attempted to be repaired but as you can see from the photo, this has not worked. In the last 2 weeks the road surface has sunk a few inches.

We have an update. Our highways team have issued this work out to one of their delivery gangs. We’ll let you know when the job is complete.

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

These works have now been carried out by our operational asset management team for surfacing and patching works. The site is regularly inspected during our routine inspection. Thank you for reporting this matter.
