Reported via mobile in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 10:37, Mon 26 September 2022

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 432356.

The path outside my house is falling apart and is causing a trip hazard. Other property's down this road have a similar issue. Please could this be investigated and resolved as soon as possible as we have elderly visitors who have already stumbled because of this issue.

  • 18 months have passed by and this issue has still not been resolved. Typical of Lincolnshire Council and South Holland. Reactive instead of proactive. It's time this was resolved to prevent an unessesary accident from occurring. Sort it out !

  • We're sending you this message to let you know that we've assessed the footway condition and at this time it does not require urgent repair. However we have identified this location for a larger scale improvement scheme. At this stage we are unable to give specific dates for this or definitely commit to the scheme because we prioritise these schemes based on condition compared with the rest of the County footway network and the resources available to us each year. We will continue to monitor this location as part of our routine inspections of the highway in the meantime. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • This is totally unacceptable. As a council tax payer we should expect a higher level of maintenance and repair to our paths and streets. I do not agree that this matter should be closed and simply replying stating this will be looked at sometime in the future is just brushing it under the carpet. I will be contacting my local councillor, MP and see if the press would be interested and writing an article.

  • Thank you for contacting Lincolnshire County Council. We have assessed the site and a Forward Planning Brief has been raised for a Slurry Seal treatment for this footpath. We cannot provide a date when these works will be done however the will be programmed in due course. We will continue to monitor this through our normal routine inspections. Thank you for reporting this matter.
