I wish to add my comments to those submitted by my neighbours concerning the condition of the roadway "Fairways" in Toft. It appears that the entire road surface has subsided, apart from the areas over, and immediate to, the drainage manhole structures. The outcome is the formation of a series of large humps from end to end of the cul-de-sac. One portion of the turning area at the East end has settled so significantly that it is clearly a hazard. Regular delivery drivers seem to be avoiding using the turning area -- they are now regularly observed turning by reversing on to the residents' private driveways. Furthermore, there are many patches where the road surface has broken away from the substrate. With the onset of winter weather these are likely to develop into larger and deeper pot-holes.

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.
