Lamp column 87 and adjoining out of action since June

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 435982.

Neither of these lights have been working since at least JUNE. They now represent even more of a HEALTH AND SAFETY RISK due to their location on a bend in a road where vehicles regularly exceed the speed limit and especially as they are near a well used footpath that discharges directly onto the road from within bushes and trees. This risk is heightened by the limited hours of daylight now. They have been reported before and those reports updated but still they do not work and/or have not been repaired..

  • We’ve had a look at the street light and found that it’s not working because there’s a problem with the power supply. We’ve reported this to the electricity board. Once they have fixed getting power to the light we will re-inspect it and schedule any further repairs if necessary.

  • The adjacent column (86) which has also not been working for 5 months is currently within a development site and the footings for a new building are very close to it which suggests the development might have affected this power supply to both columns.

  • These two lamp columns are still not working since last June, at least. Despite them causing danger and various assurances they were being dealt with they have still not been repaired. When will they finally be put back into service? After an accident?
