School lane leading down to St Michaels primary school entrance. Fast flowing and ankle deep water.
Reported via mobile in the Flowing water, no risk to life or property category anonymously at 19:34, Thu 17 November 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 437282.
Consistent flowing water, Anglian water has a notice to say this is a natural spring. However this has got worse over the years, it is quite fast flowing and sometimes ankle deep. More drainage needs to be added and a solution found for winter time. I’m scared this will turn into pure ice causing young children, adults and grandparents to fall.

Please can you provide an update, this road is in a terrible state with lots of water running down due to a natural spring - over the cold weather this was very dangerous

Any update on this please as this road needs to be sorted. In cold weather and ice it’s so dangerous particularly for grandparents dropping off children at the school and has already caused falls.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. We are already aware of the situation along the lane. The carriageway defects described by the customer are within the flow of surface water on the lane and it is our intention to hold off any repairs until such time as the constant water flow has been addressed. Whilst Anglian Water have stated they are not responsible they are being asked once again to check on site. Experience has shown that the checks made by their technicians are not always conclusive in these cases. Once we are convinced that the issue is indeed groundwater related, we will consider adding new drainage apparatus in the area and look to repair the carriageway. Thank you for reporting this matter.
