  • At dusk on the evening after I reported the last, most southern, street-light on Glentham Road (DN21 1SA), as PERMANENTLY not working (Ref: 444487), it did appear to make a weak, failed, attempt to “spark” into life. (Does this new energy-saving technology have “starters” like the old fluorescent light-tubes?).

However, during each of the last two nights - on the three-to-four occasions that I have looked - the last most southern, street-light on Glentham Road (Ref: 444487), has been working satisfactorily. This will be appreciated by the pedestrian late shoppers at Morrisons, and shift workers who use the pedestrian access during the hours of darkness.

Although better than when I last reported it as being permanently OFF, the second to last street-light at the southern-end of Glentham Road (Ref: 437409), is now back to again seemingly using its own version of morse code to contact extra-terrestrial life forms. However, it could not be described as working satisfactorily.

  • I already reported the second to last lamp post, street light, at southern end of Glentham Road, as not working on Fri 18 NOVEMBER 2022. The report's reference number is 437409. It continued to flicker ON/OFF, every few seconds, during hours of darkness.

I have just updated the very last lamp post, street light, at southern end of Glentham Road, as again being permanently OFF.

That report's reference number is 444487.

I had recently reported that it seemed to have corrected itself.

Unfortunately, it is AGAIN, now permanently OFF.

Both these street lights should illuminate some 80m of pedestrian footpath. That this is now effectively in total darkness, is a concern.

Again, if access to these street lights is a problem, please ask the Contractor to ring my mobile number, already left with your office.
