Reported via desktop in the Manhole/drain cover on road/cycleway category anonymously at 20:34, Tue 29 November 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later.
Council ref: 438722.
This drain cover was broken by the drain cleaning team in September when it was hit with a sledge hammer to replace it. A road cone was then placed on top of it but this keeps being run over by traffic as it’s on a slight bend on a narrow road. I keep putting it back together but worried it will cause an accident.
Thanks for letting us know about your issue with a manhole or drain cover. We will look into this and let you know what we find within the next 14 days. You can find out more about road maintenance on our website

The cone that was protecting the broken drain cover has been removed, possibly by the workmen removing signs for the recent roadworks at the junction
