Length of Skirmore Road

Reported via desktop in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 18:59, Thu 1 December 2022

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 438951.

Numerous potholes on the road, making it difficult to navigate around them when driving particular after rainfall, as the large puddles hide them, and at night during hours of darkness and particularly dangerous when walking. The road has sunk badly in several places. It should be resurfaced. It has been like this for at least the past 14 months and getting worse

  • Lincolnshire County council say the holes have been repaired. Well, only three holes have been repaired; this leaves several more, with some worse than the ones filled in yesterday (11/01/23). Cars and pedestrians have to negotiate the holes as they are dangerous and could cause personal injury or damage to vehicles; it's like an obstacle course; and holes are only getting larger and deeper with some areas sinking badly

  • That many holes now the system won't allow me to upload them all; and they are getting bigger and deeper and more dangerous when they are hidden by large pools of water

  • Existing holes are now much bigger, and several new holes have appeared. It is so bad now that it is inevitable that damage will be caused if a car wheel hits the holes in the dark. I believe one person has been severely injured when they fell into one of the holes. Seems like the council are in no rush of repairing these holes.

  • Only filled in one hole leaving several others that were just as bad. What a waste of time
