In front of new build between number 34 and 34A Coggles Causeway, Bourne PE109LL

Reported via desktop in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 10:36, Tue 10 January 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 443036.

Approx 2m sq sunken area in road. This fills up with water when it rains reducing the already narrow pathway available and is a trip hazard in dry conditions.

This has been like this for around 6 weeks now. As you can see in the attached picture, this area has subsided and is a nuisance and a safety hazard to pedestrians and vehicles along this narrow lane.

Can you please inspect and fix, thanks.

  • It has been mentioned that the area had been patched and that is the source of the problem, as the area was not compacted sufficiently and it has subsided, which is what is causing the issue. How does this get rectified so the area does not become flooded each time it rains?
