  • How can this be issued to one of your gangs, then go to being investigated? It’s been investigated and planned already and we have waited two months for the gang to repair the holes. Do the council actually inspect works when they have been completed?

  • A company (Jet Filler?)) has been down and blasted Millfield Terrace potholes with a mix of bitumen and aggregate. They have left the Terrace in an appalling mess.

The pavements have NOT been swept and l are covered in some places with a lot of very loose aggregate/bitumen mix. They have also off loaded sticky lumps of bitumen onto the grass verge - just perfect for dogs and school children to walk through.

Our car; the cars of our immediate neighbours and, I’m guessing, many others in the terrace that were parked next to the areas that have been patched, are covered in a dried film of sticky substance, which is very difficult to remove. When challenged by a neighbour about the mess on the cars, one of the operators tried to suggest that the mess on the cars was from insects!! Exactly the unprofessional response I would expect from those that left our street in such a dreadful state. I will be taking our car to be cleaned professionally and will request that the company completes a report describing the dirt on the car and the effort that it required to remove it. I would be very grateful if you could contact me and advise me how to progress this complaint further, in order that I can seek compensation. And PLEASE get them to come back and sweep our footpath!!!

  • More photos of the mess left by the pothole repairers, including the sticky film all over the car.
