  • What can I say, you wasted time and money. This ‘fix’ was as poor as your last attempt. There are loose bits of grit around each filled hole already in less than 10 hours since the mend. The road needs a proper repair, scraping and resurfacing. All that has been achieved here is overtime pay and more loose particles to fly up in pedestrians faces!! Please spend the tax payers money more wisely!

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

  • What an absolutely appalling attempt at a road repair. This will not last a week. Whoever passed this off as an acceptable repair needs to take another look. A shocking waste of taxpayer money.

  • You now need to review how this shoddy, unacceptable waste of our money, could be called a repair. There are still numerous potholes and all that has happened is some tarmac has been dumped into some of them. This new stuff is now breaking down. We all know that repairs are required all over the County. This bodge job does nothing for the publics perception how our Council us trying to resolve the problems

  • This patch of road now looks exactly as it did on 21st January before the appalling ‘fix’ was carried out. People drive on the wrong side of the road to try and avoid driving on the terrible surface, pedestrians think that the car is turning into Aldi and go to cross the road but the car continues up Mareham Lane, an accident is going to happen. This road needs URGENT proper attention, the road needs to be closed and resurfaced.

  • These potholes are now so bad I was faced with a vehicle driving down the pavement in an attempt to avoid them this week. Twice in 6 weeks a bodged repair has been carried out when the temp has been well below zero and has failed within days. What a waste of time and money. Perhaps the Highways officer should come and examine this road for themselves then demand a refund from the contractor. For goodness sake when is someone in the council going to get this road repaired properly before a serious accident happens?

  • I understand the pressure you are under to repair astronomical numbers of potholes, but I respectfully suggest that, rather than a " sticking plaster " approach to the Mareham Lane, Aldi entrance potholes, a really drastic resurfacing of the road is needed, with some inconvenience to all concerned, and this should solve the problem. The holes must be causing long term damage to regular vehicle users on this road. Thanks for your kind attention. Randolph Murray.
