Dear Lincolnshire County Council,
I am writing to express my concern about the ten large potholes on Beresford Avenue between Kennedy Avenue and Fireback Avenue in Skegness. I reported these potholes to you previously and received a response that they do not yet require further action, despite the fact that they are deeper than 40mm and pose a safety hazard to drivers and cyclists.
I would like to add that the condition of the road has significantly worsened since I first reported the potholes on the 7th of February. I have photographic evidence of the current state of the road, which I am happy to provide upon request.
The UK government guidelines on the repair of potholes state that potholes with a depth of 40mm or more on a road with a speed limit of 40mph or lower should be repaired within 28 days. In addition, local authorities have a duty to repair potholes that are considered a safety hazard as soon as possible.
As such, I urge you to take immediate action to repair the potholes on Beresford Avenue between Kennedy Avenue and Fireback Avenue in Skegness within the recommended time frame. It is unacceptable to allow such a dangerous road condition to persist, especially when it poses a risk to the safety of the public.
Please confirm that you will be taking action to repair the potholes promptly, and let me know if you require any further information from me.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
