Most of length of Links Avenue

Reported via desktop in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 20:27, Tuesday 14 March 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 451141.

There are several potholes that have appeared yet again on Links Avenue ranging in size starting at the bottom end near Quebec Road to well over halfway reaching up to Chalfont Avenue. This problem rears it's head every year and is always worse when the holiday season starts. It does not give a good impression to the holiday makers when they have to dodge the potholes to avoid damage to their cars. I'm surprised there hasn't been an accident before now when drivers are chicaning around parked vehicles to avoid potholes. The road needs a complete resurface which surely will be the most cost effective way to repair the road as it's patched up every year in the same places and more. The potholes that have already been repaired begin to break up and cause even more holes. The asphalt is spayed all over the road and this is causing problems with big lumps all over the road, A work colleague of mine had a broken windshield because of this. This is made worse when it rains heavily. Also, last year, I had to have a front spring replaced on a 5 year old car due to hitting a deep pothole in the dark after midnight when the street lights go off because I couldn't see it in the dark. Please come to review the situation and resurface the road, when will revolve the problem once and for all. Thank you !!
