From the roundabout A16 where the tulip queen is/ apple green services is on the A16 heading down cowbit road going to Peterborough.

Reported via desktop in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 19:52, Tue 21 March 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 452282.

The pot holes on this major road are continuously proving to be a hazard ! Can’t give you depths or sizes as would be dangerous to get out of car to get this info ! The pot holes are on both side of the A16 and on my journey after hitting 3 my tyre got a slow puncture which I got changed in Peterborough! Artics, transits, tractors and cars use this road continuously so always busy during the day. Seen disgarded Tyres on grass verges which are not car tyres (too small) don’t need to be a brain surgeon to conclude a puncture occurred somewhere on this road. You can’t avoid the potholes because you’d cause an accident if you tried to swerve❗️someone is going to be seriously hurt if this issue is not addressed soon. I see from looking on here that I’m not the only one who has reported this. Maybe someone in the correct department will take this Pot hole repair task in hand. I’ll be travelling to Peterborough next week again and I really can’t afford another new tyre !!!

  • Ref:- 452282 On my travels today heading to Peterborough I noticed that the pot holes are still there !!!! How long does it take for the work to be carried out on this major road ??? It’s just disgusting how this Council(along with many more no doubt)can send emails to people who have taken the time to report these issues, saying it will be dealt with and yet nothing as happened on the said mentioned road. ❗️❗️ I’m now begging you to fix these pot holes so I can travel in safely instead of being so anxious and worried on my journey to Peterborough.

  • This stretch of the A16 from Apple green through to the Cambridgeshire border near Crowland is horrendous, yet into Cambridgeshire it's a good road. Your concentration is taken up with avoiding pot holes as opposed to paying attention to the traffic. It's an accident waiting to happen, and especially dangerous for a motorcycle in the dark.

  • Still not being addressed! A few have being filled in but still a lot remain ❗️ it’s just unacceptable and I think your Road department are not doing their job to make this road safe for car travelling public Why is it taking you so long????? 🤦🏼‍♀️ update by saying this is now our priority, my first report was back in March it’s now May and I don’t believe I’m the only one reporting this situation ❗️❗️ Just get the road fixed not much to ask for to keep people and their cars safe
