From bend on B1205 a third along. Also third closest to Ashlyn

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 452507.
Many thanks to your team for their work clearing some of the B1205 footpath between Waddingham village and Ashlyn (Council ref:447873).. They have uncovered an asphalt path a meter in width. But can you clarify when they will be back to clear the third of the path closest to the village, and likewise the third closest to Ashlyn? The status of the job is certainly not ‘Fixed’; work is still required to clear the two thirds of the path untouched by your Highway team.
The problems with the path mentioned in the anonymous message (08.53, Monday 13 February 2023) cite large clumps of grass and soil which completely block the path and that there are areas where only a few inches are left of a walkable path, which is a shame considering there’s a meters width under all the debris. This is still the case with the majority of the path.
The two thirds of the path which remains covered in debris is still unusable for anyone with mobility difficulties or with a pushchair. People are still forced to use the 60mph road (close to a bend at the village end). It is still slippery for able bodied pedestrian – I walked the path this morning in hiking boots and it still required me to walk on the main road.
Please amend your post, the work is certainly not 'finished and the issue is now resolved’. I hope that this report will mean that you can focus your effort where it is still needed most, namely the two thirds of the path still to be cleared. I look forward to clarification as to when the work will finally be fixed..

Having walked down this stretch myself today I see what you mean. Only the middle bit has been cleared meaning you need to zig zag on and off the road as you walk the stretch. It doesn't make any sense to clear the middle section but not the two ends! I also needed to walk on the road and noticed there were still big clumps of grass completely blocking the path still. Really disappointed that the job has not been completed in one go.

Thank you for contacting us. We attended recently to some severe verge ruts made by HGV traffic that made the footway impassable. We have attended and cleared a large section of the footway to alleviate the obstruction issue. In regards to the rest of the footway, we understand that it is overgrown but currently does not pose as a safety risk. We have passed this to the siding team for consideration. Thank you for reporting this matter.
