Footpath between FirTree lane Sudbrook and Ancaster crossroads
Reported via mobile in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 19:28, Tuesday 28 March 2023
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later.
Council ref: 453206.
The footpath is overgrown between Fir tree lane and Woodys but nearer Ancaster when it rains the floodwater from the road drags mud onto the path and excess water floods the path creating large puddles. Where the water gathers at the road edges passing cars splash the water over the edge and footpath soaking any footpath users as there isn’t enough width to keep away from the road edge . The council promotes exercise advocating walking as a perfect way to keep fit, however if it has been raining then wading would be a better description of travelling by foot from Sudbrook to Ancaster. I have reported this issue previously to be told that drain’s would be checked, however as I stated before there isn’t any roadside drainage on that stretch of road.
