Reported via mobile in the Street light category anonymously at 09:50, Monday 10 April 2023
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 454900.
The street lamp was knocked down by Cadent Gas engineers when work was being carried out in July last year (2022). The accident was reported immediately but it still has not been replaced. The base is still present with exposed wires so has been covered with a washing line cover (by one of the residents). It is almost a whole year since this happened. Needs to be replaced. Totally unacceptable how long this has taken!

Still awaiting the replacement street lamp. This is absolutely unacceptable that it has been left almost a year with a washing line cover over it!! You have assured us that work is being carried out which was weeks ago and still it has not been replaced. I’m sure Cadent have already paid for the damage they caused so why hasn’t the work been carried out yet!!!

12 months since this was first reported; 12 months with the end of the Close in darkness; at least one attempted garden break-in; and this incident is STILL "Action Scheduled?" Get a grip LCC!!!!!!!!

Why is it taking so long to remove the broken light pole and connect the new one to the supply?

We’ve had a look at the street light and found that it’s not working because there’s a problem with the power supply. We’ve reported this to the electricity board. Once they have fixed getting power to the light we will re-inspect it and schedule any further repairs if necessary.
