A151 from the Wheatfields turning to the Texaco Garage

Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 08:17, Fri 21 April 2023

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 456444.

After normal rainfall over night the stretch of road as mentioned, the rain water cannot drain away due to four drains being full and blocked along this stretch of road. Consequently are property and others are being flooding with the run-off of rain water We have seen recently the drains being cleaned but this has not solved the problem

  • Good morning,

Please could you update us on when the work will be carried out, as we now have major concerns around damp in our house. Due to yesterdays storm the rain water from the road was high enough to reach our house wall and is now in the wall cavity if this continues we will have major damage to our property. With this work will it include raising the curbs where they have dropped, letting the water pour across the path onto the drive?

Look forward to your response rgd Steve

  • Good morning, All, No work on lifting the curbs has been carried out in front of our property at 174 high road, as they have done further along the road, therefore when it rains the water still comes across the path and floods our driveway. Please advise when this work will be carried out as this has been ongoing now for nearly 1 year! Also please re-inspect the drains along this stretch of road as after rainfall the ones outside 168, 192 & the Texaco garage fill up and overflow. If anyone wishes to call in at 174 please do and one of us will be glad to discuss further the issue we have rgds Steve
