Blocked drains on the street

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 456775.

The drain outside no 34 stinks and is completely blocked. We cannot even have our windows open as a result. All the drains in the street appear to be filled with silt and rubbish. Can they be cleared out? This is an ongoing issue and has been reported in the past, but they dont all seem to get cleared at once so the problem just keeps returning.

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

  • We cleaned this areas drains in the last year and our last inspection showed that they are working well. It’s worth noting though that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains like these can be overwhelmed. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Thank you for reporting this matter.
