Very deep pothole in road
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 456863.
The road was dug up, presumably in connection with the new houses that are being built, and at the eastbound side of the road there is a very deep dip in the road which is getting increasingly worse and is now at the point where it could cause real damage to a vehicle, even at low speed. At night this is particularly hazardous as it can’t be seen and people who know it’s there are driving over the white line on the wrong side of the road to avoid it.

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

The conclusion of no action required for this is madness. There are grooves in the road showing where people have hit this pothole and my husband was concerned he’d damaged his wheel on it. When someone reports damage to their vehicle and claims from the council I’ll gladly provide them with photos as evidence as I took about 10 pictures tonight including where the side of the road is cracking and breaking away.
