Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 459881.
Articulated lorries, coaches and very heavy farm traffic with huge trailers (full of potatoes etc @ ~ 50 tonnes at a guessing ?) bounce in the hollow where this gully is situated. It was replaced about a year ago for the same reason (as well as before I moved here), but the hollow was not filled in to level up the road (which causes the force to be dirrected down into the gully and surrounding ground where we have very poor soil mechanics). The problem lessened after the work last year, but the house shakes have been growing in amplitude again. The drain cleaners came today and I was able to view the gully once cleaned and empty. The bottom has broken out again. The guy cleaning the drains said that he would report it, but that I could too if I wanted. Well, as the shakes are breaking my house apart (you are welcome to come and view the cracks and hopefully experience a lorry going over the gully while you are here!) I thought I should as the problem is becomming serious again.

Hello, The gully below the visible road surface (that could be viewed when the drain cleaners had cleaned and emptied the gully) has a broken bottom. The drain cleaner pointed this out. Water will be fluidising the running sand that we have here.
Yours Sincerely Chris Hall

Hello, Thank you for actioning this again. I think that the only way of preventing the gully from being broken again in future is to lift it so that the ironwork is level with the road around the hollow and then filling in the hollow with asphalt. It is not a large area, but is deep enough for our large, fast and very heavy traffic to crash down into it, right on top of the poorly supported gully, so breaking it.

Hello, You were planning to (I assume?) Replace the gully again and level up the hollow around it so that the new gully does not become damaged again by heavy fast traffic bouncing in and out of the hollow, but no works have happened? Are you still going to carry out this work?
Yours Sincerely Chris Hall
