Dyke outside 2 Princes Street
Reported via desktop in the Damaged dyke, ditch or culvert category anonymously at 19:27, Mon 22 May 2023
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 459948.
Broken entry pipe into dyke, bottom of dyke filled with tarmac tailings from the road, pipe at other end of dyke partially blocked, over the years we have had to keep clearing this dyke of weeds and rubbish thrown in by people passing by, we are getting too old to keep on doing this and more to the point why should we have to keep clearing it of rubbish and weeds when the pipes do not work. We do carry on doing this as the road floods every time it rains and we do not want our house flooded as well. The ground at the bottom of the dyke has risen each year and now partially blocks some of the pipework. The dyke has been like this for well over the last three years, we only found out about this site from speaking to our new councillor.
