Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 460233.
Customer has stated that there is some private property which has a severely overgrown tree which is hanging into the footpath as well as other peoples properties. The tree is an elderberry tree and is causing disruptions of the area as well as the wildlife. This has been going on for a couple years.

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

In this instance we don’t intend on taking immediate action. Because our current resources are extremely limited we have to focus our enforcement on matters of a significant danger or nuisance to road users. We can, however, continue to monitor the site during our routine inspections and will review the situation. Thank you for reporting this matter.
