Incorrect shared use pathway markings
Reported via desktop in the Other road surface issue category anonymously at 16:19, Fri 26 May 2023
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 460383.
The markings on the shared use pathway at the entrance to the Chappell Centre suggest that cyclists are supposed to give way here. When taking into account the updated highway code rule H3, these markings seem incorrect. According to the rule, motorists are supposed to give way to cyclists and pedestrians when entering and exiting a junction. Please could the markings be updated to reflect this as this is a shared use pathway that is present across the entrance.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because the Chappell Centre is an access not a road junction, so the markings are appropriate for the shared path. Link to the H3 of the Highway Code https://www.gov.uk/ guidance/ the-highway-code/ introduction#ruleh3. Thank you for reporting this matter.
