Dear Sir / Madam We have and are still suffering from an enormous amount of tree sap coming off the trees down the footpath that runs along the side of our house, 15 Love Lane, Spalding, PE11 2PF, from Love Lane to Lime Court. The trees are overhanging to both the front and rear of our property and so far the sap has ruined one car, a furniture patio set, and our block paved drive. Hopefully the sap dripping season is soon going to be over but is there any chance that before next spring these trees could be cut back (or at least all the branches overhanging our house and property? Kind Regards Nick Rayner

Thanks for getting in touch with us. In this case, we’re not responsible for this issue as the highway only extends as far as the tarmac'd footway, the verges and trees are not our responsibility. However, we would suggest you contact South Holland District Council as they may maintain this as public open space.
