Tree trunks impede road safety
Reported via desktop in the Tree/hedge restricting available highway category anonymously at 15:09, Mon 5 June 2023
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 461235.
My concern is regarding 3 or 4 trees on the High Street in Sturton the council planted some years ago outside 27.29, 31, 33. (WLDC told me to contact highways) Now the trees have bulked out, it is becoming more difficult to safely exit our properties due to the tree trunks aligning to block the view of oncoming traffic, particularly bikes. Another area of concern regarding the trees is the roots could become a threat to our drainage and the road side drains. The roots are shallow and very visible protruding up from the grass verge making grass cutting difficult. I do love trees but sometimes they become wrong for their position.
